Welcome to the video section of my Japan Diary. You will need QuickTime or Real Player to view these.
I recommend saving these to disk before viewing - right click the link and select "Save Target As" from the pop-up menu. This will mean you don't have to re-download a video you want to see again later and avoids problems some browsers have with viewing video images (e.g. in Internet Explorer I cannot resize the image if it plays inside the browser).

Helmsdale (7,16MB) This is Tokyofs only Scottish pub as far as I know. The owner is Japanese but decided to open a Scottish pub as a result of his passion for Single Malt Whiskys. To drink they have Bass, Boddingtons and Guinness plus a fine selection of Whisky and although they claim to sell Irn Bru they were all out the day I was there. The food menu includes Scotch Eggs and Haggis. For more information, go to their home page. **
Ginza (9,75MB) Ginza is one of the many big shopping zones in Tokyo. Like a lot of places in Tokyo it is heavily lit with neon lights. The view up and down the main street is quite spectacular at night. ***
Esso (5,05MB) As we all know, space is tight in Japan, so how about this for an idea? A petrol station with the pumps suspended in the air above you. **
Baked Potato Seller (6,60MB) This man is selling baked sweet potato - and his van sings a song aswell. ***
Akihabara (5,59MB) Akihabara is the Tottenham Court Road of Tokyo. This is a shot of a games arcade - the guy here is playing Taiko Drum Master a derivative of Dance Dance Revolution. Score points for hitting the drums at the right time - you get the idea. ***
Airport Train (9,56MB) This is the Narita to Tokyo Express. This is just after I arrived. *
