Welcome to the video section of my Japan Diary. You will need QuickTime or Real Player to view these.
I recommend saving these to disk before viewing - right click the link and select "Save Target As" from the pop-up menu. This will mean you don't have to re-download a video you want to see again later and avoids problems some browsers have with viewing video images (e.g. in Internet Explorer I cannot resize the image if it plays inside the browser).

Hama Rikyu C (7,05MB) While we were wondering round the park we came across this tradtional Japanese music recital. ***
Wader (3,79MB) Its Sunday - the Japanese are out with their cute kids - what better to do than go wading in a fountain. *
Koi Fish (6,34MB) An essential part of any Japanese garden are these flourescent pond dwellers. ***
Workmen (6,51MB) Even if they are only replacing a couple of paving stones - Japanese law requires that all building/construction sites in addition to being totally fenced off, have someone (or several people) stand and direct passersby away from any danger. **
Vending Machine (6,55MB) A bit of overkill from our Japanese drinks machine designers. **
Shinagawa Eki (1,64MB) This is rush hour and as far as the eye there is a mass of bodys marching to work. *
Piper Mitsukoshi (4,33MB) Mitsukoshi is a sort of Japanese equivalent of Selfridges. Here we see some of their in store entertainment during their recent "British" promotion. **
Parade (4,85MB) No idea what the occasion is here - but we have a bunch of children dancing up and down the street. *
Earthquake (6,27MB) Unfortunately earthquakes are very difficult to film - here you can see the curtains shaking a bit. *
Dachshund Puppy (3,35MB) There are lots of very cute small dogs all over the place. *
